About Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its spectacular flamingo populations that turn the lake pink. The park is also a rhino sanctuary, offering excellent opportunities to see both black and white rhinos. Located in the Great Rift Valley, it's surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, making it a paradise for bird watchers with over 450 species recorded.

Combine with Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate. Morning game drives best for flamingos. Bring binoculars.
