Itinerario del tour

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your Arusha hotel around 7:30 AM. Meet your private driver-guide and depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2-hour drive (approximately 120 kilometers) through the Tanzanian countryside.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds — often hundreds strong — and its iconic baobab trees that dot the landscape like ancient sentinels. The Tarangire River, the park's lifeline during the dry season, attracts a stunning concentration of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and over 550 bird species.

Arrive at the park in time for a full afternoon game drive. Your guide will navigate through open savannahs and acacia woodlands, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot overlooking the river. After a rewarding day of wildlife encounters, depart for your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, check out and depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. You'll travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands, with breathtaking views of the Rift Valley and the crater rim in the distance.

Upon entering the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate, you'll immediately sense the vastness of these endless plains. The Serengeti is Tanzania's oldest and largest national park, covering over 14,700 square kilometers. Enjoy an afternoon game drive en route to your camp. The Central Seronera area is known for its high concentration of predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as large herds of wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and elephants. If you're visiting between June and October, you may witness the dramatic great migration; millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains in search of fresh grass.

Arrive at your camp in the evening, surrounded by the sounds of the wild. Enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park.

A Day on the Endless Plains
Rise early for a sunrise game drive (around 6:30 AM), the best time to see predators returning from a night hunt or beginning their morning patrols. Watch the African sun paint the plains in shades of gold and orange as wildlife awakens around you.

Return to camp for breakfast, then head out for a full day of exploration with a packed picnic lunch. Your guide will customize the day based on wildlife movements and seasonal migration patterns. The Serengeti offers excellent chances to spot the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — as well as cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and countless antelope species.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater.

Enjoy a final early-morning game drive in the Serengeti (6:30 - 9:30 AM), capturing the last wildlife moments as the park awakens. Return to camp for breakfast, then depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The drive from Serengeti's Seronera area to Ngorongoro is approximately 140-188 kilometers (90-117 miles), taking about 3 hours depending on wildlife sightings en route. Travel through the conservation area's highlands, arriving at the crater rim in the early afternoon.

After checking into your lodge located on the crater rim with spectacular views, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Often called "Africa's Garden of Eden", the crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife.

Enjoy a half-day game drive across the crater floor, exploring Lake Magadi, the Gorigor Swamp, and the open grasslands. The crater is one of the best places in Africa to see the endangered black rhino.

Day 5: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara to Arusha.

After breakfast at your crater rim lodge, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, approximately a 2-hour drive (about 80 kilometers).

Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions — a rare behavior where lions lounge in the branches of acacia trees during the heat of the day. The park is also home to large elephant herds, hippos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, baboons, and over 400 bird species, including flamingos that gather on the lake's alkaline shores.

Enjoy a morning game drive through the park's diverse habitats: groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, and the lakeshore. The scenic backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment adds to the park's beauty.

After your game drive, enjoy a late lunch (packed or at a lodge) before departing for Arusha. The return drive takes approximately 2 hours (about 130 kilometers). You'll arrive in Arusha by mid-afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
